The Best Egg & Lettuce Sandwiches

the best egg and lettuce sandwich, quick and easy to make with the goodness of burgen bread
Provides
2 serves of whole grain
Each serve is 16g of whole grain. GLNC recommends 3 serves daily.

Preparation time:  5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Burgen® Wholemeal & Seeds
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • ¼ cup reduced fat mayonnaise
  • shredded cos lettuce

Method:

  1. Combine mayonnaise and garam masala or curry powder and mix well.
  2. Gently combine with eggs.
  3. Spread egg mixture over 1 side of bread and sprinkle of shredded lettuce.
  4. Top with the other piece of bread and slice as desired.

Tip

For a grown up egg sandwich simply add in ¼ tsp garam masala or curry powder to the mayonnaise mix.
