Whole Grain Week is GLNC’s annual celebration of the power of whole grains, in step with International Whole Grain Day on the 19th of November.

This year’s theme, Whole Grains for a Whole Future, reminds us that the choices we make today shape our health and wellbeing for years to come.

How Many Whole Grains Should You Be Eating?

Whole grain requirements vary depending on your age and stage.

  • Children aged 1-3 years: 24 grams per day
  • Children aged 3-8 years: 32-40 grams per day
  • Children over 9 years and adults: 48 grams per day
