Easy Spiced Granola

1 serve of whole grain
Each serve is 16g of whole grain. GLNC recommends 3 serves daily.

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups traditional oats
  • 1/3 cup pepitas
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 4 tablespoon light olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon mixed spice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots

Method

  1. Place oats, pepitas and nuts in a large bowl.
  2. Mix together the olive oil, spices and honey and mix into the oat mixture.
  3. Spread over a large baking tray and bake at 160C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Stir halfway through cooking.
  4. Store in a sealed jar.

Tip

Pour granola into little jars and tie with ribbon for a great homemade gift!
