Ocean Trout and Watercress Open Sandwiches

  • 2 slices Burgen® Rye Bread
  • 100g smoked ocean trout
  • 2 tbs light cream cheese (60% less fat)
  • 2 tbs finely chopped capers
  • 2 tbs finely chopped chives
  • Finely sliced Lebanese cucumber
  • 1 cup watercress sprigs


  1. Combine cream cheese, capers and chives.
  2. Spread cream cheese mix evenly over 2 slices of Burgen® bread.
  3. Divide the ocean trout, cucumber and watercress between the slices of bread.

Tip: Can also be served as traditional sandwiches, just top each sandwich with an extra slice of Burgen® Rye Bread.
