Tip Top The One Wholemeal Tuna Salad Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Tip Top The One Soft Wholemeal Bread
  • 1 tin (around 60g) tuna in Springwater or olive oil, drained
  • 1 tsp mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp finely chopped red onion
  • A few sprigs of fresh dill
  • 2–3 cos lettuce leaves
  • 6 cucumber slices
  • Pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, red onion, and dill. Season lightly with pepper.
  2. Lay out both slices of bread.
  3. Spread the tuna mixture evenly over one slice.
  4. Add the lettuce and cucumber slices on top.
  5. Place the second slice of bread on top to close the sandwich.
  6. Slice in half and enjoy fresh, or wrap in parchment paper and twine for a picnic-style touch.
