Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk or water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (plus extra for topping)
- 1 sliced banana (half for porridge, half as a topping)
- Small handful of granola or muesli
- 1 tsp peanut butter
Method:
1. In a small saucepan combine the oats, milk/water, maple syrup and half the sliced banana. Over low heat, gently stir the porridge until the oats have softened (this takes approximately 5 minutes) making sure the mixture isn’t sticking to the bottom of the pan
2. Transfer the porridge to a bowl and top with your favourite toppings! For this recipe I’ve topped with the other half of sliced banana, some granola, an extra drizzle of maple syrup and a teaspoon of peanut butter. Enjoy warm!
