4 Grain Apple Berry Crumble 

Warm up this cold winter morning with a desert for breakfast! Rich in wholegrains to keep you fuller for longer

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup rolled quinoa flakes
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat
  • 1/2 cup Wholemeal flour
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed meal
  • 4 apples (skin on)
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries 
  • 1/4 cup light extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon 
  • 1/2 cup water

Method:

  1. Cut apples into slices and add to a saucepan 
  2. Add water and cinnamon and stew apples on low heat with lid half on for 5-10 minutes or until slightly soft
  3. Put oats, buckwheat, quinoa, flour, flaxseed meal, oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract to a bowl and mix with fingertips to combine
  4. Add Apples and frozen raspberries into a dish, then add the crumble on top
  5. Cook in oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes or until golden
  6. Serve with some vanilla yogurt and enjoy🌾
