Ingredients
- ¼ cup millet
- ¼ cup amaranth
- 1 tbsp red quinoa
- ¼ cup rolled barley
- 2 tsp buckwheat
- ¼ cup pearl glutinous rice
- 2 tbsp sorghum
- 2 tbsp teff
- 2 tbsp roasted black beans
- 2 tbsp dried azuki beans
- ¼ cup black rice
- 1 tbsp Thai red rice
- 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp toasted black sesame seeds
Method
- Simply combine the ingredients in a press-seal bag and store until ready for use.
- Use in Adam Liaw’s Whole Grain Snapper Takikomi Rice.
Tip
You can vary the above ingredients to cater to your taste preferences and make use of what you have.
This versatile mix can be used in a number of ways to boost whole grain and flavour – simply add a few tablespoons when cooking rice, cook on its own and use as the base of a salad, or add to oats when cooking porridge.
